Born in Zimbabwe, my family had to leave for South Africa in my childhood due to the collapse of the economy. Adjusting to a new country came with many challenges but also taught me resilience and holding onto hope. A chance meeting with Morne’ Strydom, led to 1Life Better offering to pay for my tertiary studies. This has been life changing, as they trusted me and gave me belief in my ability. To be honest they saw the potential in me, that I did not even see myself. Today, after 6 years of studies, I hold a B.COM Law Degree with a Masters in Data Science from Constructor University in Bremen, Germany. They are now my full time employer, as I start on my work career journey. As the first in my extended family to have attended University, I am forever grateful to 1Life Better for giving me the financial and mentoring assistance to change my life’s trajectory.
