Why South Africa

South Africa has one of the highest youth unemployment rates in the world. Over 50% of ages 16-30 are unemployed, thus placing an enormous pressure on society. Many youths are tempted to escape the reality of poverty through engaging in drugs, alcohol or criminal activity. As a country that has very little government support, the uneducated individual is on a well-worn path to financial and mental desperation.
The majority of South African youth grow up in low income areas (average wage is £150-£200 p.m) , where socio-economic problems becomes a common reality. Years of experience has taught that this challenging environment is not suitable for best results in studies. 1Life better believes in being educated in a healthy environment, thereby exposing the individual to a new reality. An environment where progress and success is regularly experienced, and where dreams, hope and achievements are perceived as possible.
